There are pinch-me moments… and then there are PINCH-ME moments. This project was definitely one of those.

To mark 100 days to go until the Ryder Cup 2025, we were tasked with bringing a Times Square billboard to life. A very adam+gary brief, but that was just the start.

We enlisted the incredible Joshua “Josh” Kelley (aka @holein1trickshots) a world-record-holding trick shot artist with tons of viral video to help us pull off something special. With Josh on board, we took the brief up a notch (or three).

We flew to Manhattan to direct and supervise the production of five countdown films, starting with this one. We arrived to find a little part of Times Square closed off just for us, a surreal moment of calm in the middle of all the noise, and despite the rain Josh still managed to put on a full show for the crowd that gathered once we wrapped.

After such a show in Times Square, the pressure was on to make sure that we could continue the magic happen in post, the result of which you can see here. We decided not to just do a simple billboard takeover, but use a trick shot to trigger a super-sized Ryder Cup trophy emerging from the screen.

We delivered two edits, including this shorter hero version, which alone clocked over 4.5 million likes, views and comments across the Ryder Cup channels. You can see a little BTS shot below.
