We created the debut TV commercial for the UK’s leading tax refund specialists, RIFT, after winning a competitive pitch in early 2024.
The 30-second ad ran for three months in primetime on ITV and Channel 4 across Scotland, with Open Partners leading the media buy. It was supported by a paid and organic social campaign across all RIFT channels.
Devised, produced and delivered by adam+gary, the ad features a cast of characters who’ve all used RIFT, passing that wisdom onto fellow construction workers across Scotland. Leaning into RIFT’s new brand direction, the film also features FOOH style visuals to introduce their new iconic ‘Refundaball’ brand icon.
As RIFT’s first step into TV, the challenge was huge: concept to broadcast in just four weeks, full ad clearance in a complex sector, and a production packed with new brand visuals.

Partnering with Rig2, Face Model and Casting Management, and a top-tier crew, we shot three TV edits plus a suite of over 300 social assets in just two days across locations in Greater Manchester.
The campaign was a success, with RIFT reporting a 60% increase in Scottish new enquiries following broadcast.
