“Can we hit a golf ball into the Liberty Bell?”
This is exactly the kind of conversation we love. Especially when it’s the PGA of America asking, and it’s for their 2026 Championships.
So of course, we said yes.
The 2026 Championships are taking place at Aronimink Golf Club, just outside of Philadelphia, which is home to the iconic Liberty Bell. Given 2026 is also the year America celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, an idea was hatch to bring the 2 celebrations together in a fun little campaign.
Now, spoilers ahead: you obviously can’t actually damage a famous piece of American history for the sake of a film, so VFX it was. For this project, we handled the full post-production, including edit, sound mix, VFX, compositing and 3D animation, creating the illusion of a golf ball being tee’d off from the 11th hole at Aronimink, and visiting a few iconic Philly landmarks before landing right inside the Liberty Bell’s iconic crack.
The clip helped kick off Championships week in May 2026, and got a brilliant response from fans.
